Darjeeling, Gangtok & North Sikkim Tour

Day 1: NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport – Gangtok

Upon arrival at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra (IXB) Airport, meet and greet our representative and transfer to Gangtok (5,480 ft.). Enjoy the scenic drive along the Teesta River. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. The remainder of the day is free for leisure or to explore the vibrant MG Marg at your own pace.

Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 2: Gangtok – Lachen

After an early breakfast, drive towards Lachen (9,400 ft.), a picturesque mountain village in North Sikkim.

En route, enjoy the breathtaking Himalayan landscapes and visit:

• Seven Sisters Waterfall

• Naga Waterfall

• Chungthang Confluence

• Other scenic viewpoints and waterfalls

Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax.

Dinner and overnight stay in Lachen.

Day 3: Lachen – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung

Early in the morning, drive to the magnificent Gurudongmar Lake (17,000 ft.), one of the highest and most sacred lakes in the world. Surrounded by snow-covered peaks, the lake offers spectacular panoramic views. Due to the high altitude, visitors are advised to take necessary precautions.

After visiting the lake, return to Lachen for breakfast/check-out and continue your journey to Lachung.

Dinner and overnight stay in Lachung.

Day 4: Lachung – Yumthang Valley – Gangtok

After breakfast, proceed to the enchanting Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft.), popularly known as the Valley of Flowers, famous for its alpine meadows and stunning Himalayan scenery.

Guests may also opt to visit Zero Point (Yumesamdong) (at additional cost and subject to permit, weather, and road conditions).

On the return journey, visit the natural Yumthang Hot Spring, renowned for its sulphur-rich water believed to have medicinal properties.

Later, drive back to Gangtok and check in to the hotel.

Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 5: Tsomgo Lake – Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir – Nathula Pass

After an early breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to the breathtaking Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.), a sacred glacial lake surrounded by snow-clad mountains.

Continue to the revered Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir and later visit the famous Nathula Pass, one of the highest motorable mountain passes on the Indo-China border (subject to permit availability and weather conditions).

Return to Gangtok by evening.

Day 6: Gangtok Local Sightseeing – Darjeeling

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok covering:

• Tashi View Point

• Ganesh Tok

• Hanuman Tok

• Bakthang Waterfall

• Banjhakri Waterfalls & Energy Park

• Flower Exhibition Centre

Later, drive to Darjeeling (6,710 ft.), popularly known as the Queen of the Hills. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Spend the evening at leisure exploring Mall Road (Chowrasta), cafés, and local markets.

Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 7: Darjeeling Sightseeing

Early in the morning (around 4:00 AM), drive to Tiger Hill to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga.

On the return journey, visit:

• Batasia Loop

• Ghoom Monastery

After breakfast, continue your local sightseeing tour covering:

• Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park

• Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI)

• Darjeeling Ropeway (subject to operational status)

• Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre

• Tenzing Rock

• Japanese Temple

• Peace Pagoda

Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 8: Darjeeling – NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra (IXB) Airport for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of the Eastern Himalayas.
