Sundarban Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Kolkata – Godkhali – Gosaba – Sonagaon Island

Upon arrival at the designated boarding point in Kolkata (Indian Museum or Science City), begin your journey towards Godkhali, the last road-connected point of mainland India.

On arrival, meet our representative and board a motorized boat to your resort. En route, enjoy a visit to the historic Gosaba Island before reaching your resort on Sonagaon Island.

After check-in, a delicious lunch will be served. This peaceful island offers a unique experience with no cars and no electricity, allowing you to immerse yourself in the untouched beauty of the Sundarbans.

In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat ride through the mangrove creeks for bird watching and nature exploration. Witness fascinating wildlife such as fiddler crabs, mudskippers, and other unique mangrove species.

Return to the resort shortly after sunset. Spend a delightful evening enjoying traditional tribal dance and folk music performances accompanied by refreshments. Dinner will be served at the resort.

Overnight Stay: Resort at Sonagaon Island.

Day 2: Full-Day Sundarban Jungle Safari

Wake up early and prepare for an unforgettable full-day jungle safari.

After obtaining the necessary forest permits and boarding with an authorized forest guide, cruise through one of the world's largest mangrove forests, renowned for its rich biodiversity.

During the day-long boat safari, you will visit:

• Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower

• Dobanki Watch Tower

• Sajnekhali Tiger Project

• Crocodile Breeding Centre

• Turtle Conservation Project

• Mangrove Interpretation Centre

• Bono Bibi Temple

• Pirkhali

• Gazikhali

• Pancha Mukhani

• Several narrow creeks and channels of the Sundarbans

Cruise through the dense mangrove waterways in search of the incredible wildlife that calls the Sundarbans home, including:

• Royal Bengal Tiger (subject to luck)

• Spotted Deer

• Wild Boar

• Estuarine Crocodile

• Water Monitor Lizard

• Fishing Cat & Civet Cat

• Gangetic Dolphins

• Numerous resident and migratory birds

Freshly prepared breakfast, lunch, tea/coffee, and refreshments will be served onboard the boat.

Return to the resort in the evening for dinner.

Overnight Stay: Resort at Sonagaon Island.

Day 3: Village Walk – Godkhali – Kolkata

Wake up to the peaceful sounds of the Sundarbans and enjoy breakfast at the resort.

Take a leisurely morning walk through the village to capture beautiful photographs of the sunrise, mangroves, local life, and birdlife. Guests may also choose to explore the island on bicycles (subject to availability).

After check-out, board the boat back to Godkhali. Lunch will be served during the return journey.

On arrival at Godkhali, continue by road to Kolkata, where you will be dropped at Science City or Indian Museum.
